The selected object : a good book

As catalogues of experienced signs, successions of poetical discoveries, good books have fed my life. It is hard to express how refreshing it was as a child to get absorbed in picture books as an enriching attempt to sneak into the real world even more sweetly and a sense of getting there at random.
I enjoy a bird's eye view of the old masters's works then my eyes flow abundantly into them as if cleansed of any anxiety as it must have been in the very beginning of creation...
An art book is like a mirror in which the eye is reflected and multiplied endlessly, it is some radiant glee mixing multiple departures, withdrawals and meetings. It then pauses somewhere outside of time as a kind of receptacle of its own created vision, of its own world. I move on. I explore the book, my eyes wander along its pages, I visit it again several years later with a view to going beyond its boundaries and rushing forward to new conquests taking into account my ordeals and my own story. This is how a book, a work of art develops... it is the progress of somebody's life.
